Hey folks,
Last Friday’s gig at Woodstock turned out great. It was the biggest crowd we’ve played to down there. I had spent lunchtime in Allans music shop writing a couple of charts and we finally got our heads around Rocket Science and a new song, Yellow and Green. At our previous gig I tried putting some lyrics I had lying around to one of Kym’s new tunes and that has turned out great (it’s now called Blood Test).
This Friday, we are playing as JazzPaperScissors (that’s Fergus Maximus in Lounge Mode). It’s at Lirra Lirra Cafe & Bar at Waite Institute (Gate 3, Waite Road in Urrbrae). It’s a very early gig: 5 to 8 pm. No cover charge and no strings attached (but not much in the way of things to eat). We’ll be doing mostly jazz tunes with a couple of originals that suit the mood (including the afore-mentioned new one, Blood Test).
